To Captain Riley, thank you for your steady leadership, professionalism, and genuine care. From the moment we stepped aboard, we knew we were in great hands. You helped create an atmosphere where we could completely relax, enjoy the beauty around us, and simply live in the moment.

To Jess, thank you for taking such wonderful care of us throughout the week. From crafting delicious cocktails to keeping our cabins comfortable and spotless, you handled every detail with grace, warmth, and a constant smile. Your kindness, energy, and attentiveness made us feel truly pampered and welcomed every day.

And to our extraordinary chef, thank you for treating us to meal after meal of excellence. Every breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack was prepared with remarkable talent, creativity, and care. We were continually impressed by the quality and presentation of every dish, and each meal became a memorable part of our experience.

The three of you worked together seamlessly to create something truly special. What began as a vacation became an unforgettable experience because of your hard work, dedication, and genuine hospitality. Every detail—from the thoughtfully planned itinerary and smooth sailing to the exceptional service, handcrafted cocktails, and outstanding cuisine—reflected the passion and care each of you brought to your role.

Please know that you have made a lasting impression on all seven of us. We leave with full hearts, wonderful memories, and tremendous appreciation for everything you have done.

No Question - The Best Vacation!
Best vacation we’ve taken as a family. No question. Riley, Jess and Glenn are the best crew in the BVI. They made our trip so much fun and entertaining all the time.

Riley was always accommodating and ready to do any activity whether snorkeling, tubing, waterskiing, e-foiling or teaching us about sailing or the different islands.

Jess made us feel like family from the moment we stepped on board. She has a real talent for hospitality and is patient with everyone. Not to mention an incredible bartender.

Glenn’s cooking is by far better than any restaurant in the BVI and he could easily cook at any of the best restaurants in the world. Every meal outdid the last..and we enjoyed all of the conversations as well. Next trip will require the same crew or we won’t go.

The Magic Of Mahasattva
Jess, Riley & Glen,

I was nominated to write for our whole group. I hope I can capture everyone’s sentiments. Thinking back on this week I wanted to express my favorite memories but the truth is I can’t pick just one. I can't even pick a few because the entire week was truly magical. Every destination was a new adventure. Every meal was well thought out, tasteful and a piece of art. The drinks were perfect and our glasses were never empty. The boat became our home away from home for the week and the crew became our floating family.

We are all very sad that tomorrow we will leave this vessel for the last time. We can't imagine others sitting in these spots, yet we are excited for them to feel the magic of Mahasattva.
We will miss you all!

For my 5th BVI charter over the years one week on Mahasattva has entirely moved the bar to extraordinary and that isn't even representative of our experience.

The food is 7 days of a private Michelin Star Chef thank you Glenn, Jess you are in a class by yourself, the drinks, the diving the laughs will never be able to repeated this good. Riley, holding the entire trip together like a Jedi master ensuring we all had an amazing trip.

4th Charter - This Exceeded Our Expectations
This is our fourth trip to the BVI.
We spent eight days sailing on Mahasatva with Captain Riley, chef Glenn and first mate and dive master Jess. This crew and boat truly exceeded our expectations.

Every single meal Glenn put out was equivalent to a Michelin star restaurant.
Captain Riley kept us fun and engaged in all kinds of activities from foiling to paddle boarding to finding the best snorkeling spots
The entire team was so accommodating and fun to be with. We hope to come back to the same boat and crew again next year. Truly can’t think of a thing I would change about this vacation.

I’ve got to admit that I’ve “skimmed” this book and now I realize it’s all already been said!
So at the risk of being repetitive…

Not all of us were totally enthused about boarding Maha. And some of us took a couple of days to get their “sea legs”.
And now as I write this on day 7 we are all hooked and loving the boating life.

Why is that? Could we have had this feeling no matter the crew, boat or surroundings? DEFINITELY NOT!

Riley – your steady hand, patience with us all and your careful planning made for an unforgettable holiday in the Virgin Islands.

Jessica – your kindness, hospitality, diving knowledge and energy made all the difference for us all. Always one step ahead.

Glen – Wow Wow Wow! Your culinary expertise and adaptations to our preferences made dining “in” the best part of our gastronomic experience.

There are few people capable in this world of doing what you do. But even fewer can do it as well as the 3 of you.

We broadened our pallettes, we learned to dive, we stretched and overcame comfort zones and we made new friends.

Would love to see you again either on the high seas or in Vancouver.

Unreal!!
Our stay on the Mahasattva was unreal and by far exceeded all our expectations. The crew was courteous, knowledgeable and very professional.
The food was by far better than most restaurants we stopped out. Glen is an exceptional Chef.

Very strong crew. Riley is professional, personable and manages the trip well. You can
tell there is strong camaraderie among the crew members and it spills over into their
guest interactions.

Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and
Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
Meals were amazing. Glen was masterful and every meal we had was delicious.

How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?
Yacht is well maintained and love the layout of the outer deck and upper deck. You
never feel crowded and there is always a comfortable spot for shade or sun.

What did you like most about the yacht? What did you like the least? If you could
change anything, what would have made you happier?
Everything was well done. I thought we were going to do at least 3 dives, but it was fine
doing two.


How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
Pace was good. I would probably either prefer to fly in a day early or sail from Tortola
because our flight was delayed and then you lose time going through customers on Day 1.
Just personal preference.

Yes and the crew!

What can we as your broker do to improve our services?
I continue to use the service because of our broker. She has never steered us wrong, gives us
her opinions, and insights and does her research to provide good intel on the yachts and
the crew.

Ryan was fantastic captain and is an extremely impressive young man. He is about as chill and confident as you can get, and we all loved his dry sense of humor.

Glen is an incredible cook! Don’t loose him to another boat, as I know he is recruited often. His food was off the charts!

The Best Crew In The BVI!
Writing this on our last night. I very rarely write reviews, it’s typically not my thing, but I just felt like I needed to share what a great experience we had.
If you are looking for an experience of a lifetime, this is it. It’s hard to beat a destination like BVI, but what really made it special was the crew. Ryan was our captain, Glen, was our chef and Jess was our first mate! They are hard working quality people. Extremely competent, and super cool to hang out with. We have officially adopted them as friends and would host them in our home anytime! Not too mention the boat was fabulous, Ryan is an excellent captain and chef Glens meals will rival any Five Star restaurant. Jess is the glue to the trio and makes everything and everyone feel special. They are the best crew in the BVI, no doubt!
There were eight of us sharing two birthday celebrations together and it couldn’t have been a better experience! We loved every minute of it!

Every Detail Was Perfected
Jess, Glenn and Riley, where to start?
You all went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfected. Riley took us to the best spots on days when we got the most seclusion out of them.
Jess made sure our glasses were always full, snorkeled with us for hours and educated us on sea life, even those of our group unsure of the water became ocean lovers.
Glenn is a master French chef who catered to our pickiest eaters with the most flavor.

During this cruise, we celebrated a 60th Birthday party. The crew catered the entire day to ensure it would be the most memorable for him, made him a personalized birthday card, sign, dessert and sang. This was their best birthday yet.

On the last evening, the crew surprised us with personalized maps of all our stops. This was an unexpected detail.

We will be returning customers.

How did you enjoy your cruising vacation?
We loved our time on the yacht and in the BVIs generally. As you know, one family on
our trip had chartered a sailboat before. The returning family loved it even more than last
time, and the new family fell in love with the style of vacation as well. Some of us were
literally in tears when they dropped us off at the ferry dock at the end.

How would you describe your Captain and crew? Were they Courteous? Helpful?
Friendly? Attentive? Knowledgeable?
The crew was absolutely incredible. We could not have asked for a better one! The
captain, Ryan, was extremely competent and excellent at his job, but was also kind and
friendly, and always willing to help out with anything else to be done, including setting
up water sports and helping with dives. The chef, Glen, was incredibly talented and
always looking for opinions and feedback, and also a genuinely friendly and fun person.
And the stewardess, Jess, was perfect at her job. She was warm and welcoming and
always available for anything you needed, but also a very competent and professional
dive instructor.

Tell me about your meals? Did the menus meet your expectations? Did your Chef and
Crew pay close attention to your Preference Sheets?
The meals were fantastic. The food for every single meal was elevated and delicious, but
also accessible and enjoyable across all age groups and tastes. Glen is a true talent and
cares deeply about his craft. He followed our requests from the preference sheets
perfectly, and also asked additional questions about preferences before meals. He wanted
honest feedback after meals in case there was any way to improve- which there was not!
He made a sweet and huge pancake breakfast for my daughter’s birthday (her favorite) -
which was the last meal we had on the boat.

The cocktails and wine pairings done by Jess were also very delicious, and followed our
requests on the preference sheets- but also had some fun and creative island-style options
for us to try as well.

How is the yacht? Is she clean and well-maintained? Were your cabins comfortable?
Were the outdoor spaces adequate for lounging? Was there enough shade?
The yacht was gorgeous and beautifully and lovingly maintained. It was spotless in and
out at all times. Cabins were comfortable with nice storage and the outdoor spaces were
plentiful and enjoyable with lots of relaxing cushions all about. There was both plenty of
sun and shade for all preferences. The table for meals was comfortable and always
beautifully set with very nice flatware, silverware and glassware. The layout with the
kitchen down below gave lots of extra room up top. We rarely used the indoor living
room because it was so nice outside- but was nice to have for a few movie nights.

What did you like most about the yacht? What did you like the least? What would have
made you more comfortable or satisfied?
We liked the crew, the layout of the yacht, and food the best. We liked leaving the yacht
the least! And we would have been happier with one more week! :


How did you find the pace and the itinerary of your vacation?
The pace and itinerary were fantastic. The captain and crew paid great attention to our
preference sheets and planned out a great time for all. They fit in our 4 requested dives
without ever making it seem rushed and including plenty of activities for the non-divers.
They also planned 2 dinners off boat and 1 lunch and we loved those as well. Watching
the Necker Island fireworks and drone show was super fun for all.

Would you charter this yacht again? If not, please explain:

Yes. Especially if it was the same crew - or even some of them.

What can Yates Yachts do to improve our services?
I can’t think of anything. You gave us great options from the start, listened to what we
needed and wanted in a vacation, and helped us all along the way with helpful reminders
to keep us on track with deadlines. And also helped a great deal with insurance questions.
I also feel that if we had run into any problems or issues, you would have been able to
help.

Look No Further
We chartered the Mahasattva (62-foot Lagoon catamaran) through the BVIs over New Years 2024/25 with another family and it was glorious. The boat is gorgeous and well-maintained, and the islands were the perfect place to unwind after a busy year.

But the crew is what really made the trip special. Captain Ryan always had everything covered - but somehow found a way to be warm and friendly while also being the consummate professional.
Chef Glenn consistently delivered meals fit for a Michelin-starred restaurant, but with the casual accessibility you need on a Caribbean vacation.

WOW - that was one of the most amazing lunches I have had on a yacht - anywhere, any size, any price range, and I am including all of the 40 years that I have been in this business.

The ingredients, the pairings, the presentation, and the portions were perfect. It was a feast for my palette with all of the different combinations of foods. Glen, you presented them with such passion and love. Congratulations on your culinary win - a well-deserved honor.

Ryan, I am so glad that you joined us at the lunch table. It was nice to get to know you better, and I am sure that your ease with people makes you a great captain. We enjoyed your constant smiles as we traipsed past Maha as we were back and forth on the dock.

This trip has been 5 of the best days of my life. You guys have made is so much fun and I wish I could stay on this yacht forever.

Captain Ryan, you have been SUPER nice and really funny for the entire trip and even if Milo or I was bothering you with the e-foil, or asking if the "pool" was open, you kept your patience with us and you were an amazing captain.

Glen, your food was the best that I have ever had and you were still able to be nice and funny even if you were still really busy with cooking for 8 people all by yourself.

Jess, you have been absolutely amazing for every second we have been on Mahasattva. Whether it was taking us scuba diving, making us painkillers or just being amazing in general, you di all of this with perfection.

Our trip on Mahasattva would have been nothing without you guys and I hope we can come back and do the same thing all over again.

I don't even know where to begin
From the food to the hospitality

This was the best trip!

This Trip Tops Them All!!
We have traveled all around the world and had many fantastic experiences. This was a total unknown for some of us but we can all honestly say that this tops them all!! From the outset of being greeted at the airport, the attention to detail has been faultless to ensure we had the best time possible. The Mahasattva did not disappoint and we were often the best looking boat whenever we docked or sailed anywhere. She was supurb!!!

Over to the crew Riley, ultra professional throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. Every day he would ask if we were okay. Nothing was too much trouble, a supurb captain and I can't think of anyone more suited for this role.
Next up Glen, Every night we gave him applause for his incredible dishes served daily. We ate out a few times and none came anywhere close to his food perfection. it didn't take him too long to accept our British humour.
Finally, we have Ariana, a tough job with 6 guys, but her feisty character fitted in perfectly with us. Like a sister and daughter she mixed in with games, excursions and other activities, one of the guys, and we wouldn't have her any other way.

We were 2 families that came together as one, thanks to this wonderful experience, this team made this happen for us and we will be eternally grateful and we hope to reunite in the future on the Mahasattva, as one big family.

Wild and Luxurious
Dear Riley, Glen and Airiana. What a wild and luxurious ride! We came as a family and left as a team of e-foiling pros!

The drunken pirates of Willy T's didn't stand a chance against drunken moms of the Soggy Dollar Bar.

Wow! What a week!!! To have our family all together on Mahasattva was one of the best vacations of our lives. As great as this beautiful vessel and scenery is, the crew truly made the trip perfect.
Captain Riley, Chef Glen and Chief Fun and energy Airiana took the experience to another level. Riley made us all feel relaxed with his professional control of the boat at all times, plus the constant running us around on the dinghy.
Glen's cooking skills were amazing and he constantly out did himself.
Airiana brought energy to everything we did and had a wonderful way of making us all feel comfortable at all times.
We will be back!! But first my liver needs to recover :)

Magnus is the best!!! Exceeded our expectations at every turn. Hope to be able to sail with him again. Jade and Jessi are awesome. The food was fantastic and no matter what curveball we through at her she handled it seamlessly and professionally. Jessi was great as well. Whether it be teaching us how to scuba dive or making the cocktail of the day, she always had a smile on her face and made us all feel special. Yacht was perfect and there was always plenty to do on the boat. Unicorn is a special animal... The food and drink was superb.
