Nathan (Age 9) We just returned from an incredible week-long crewed catamaran charter in the US/British Virgin Islands, and we can’t say enough about the crew. Attentive, Kind and Accommodating
Captain Connor, Chef Ada and Nicole on the Sail Away are the most attentive, kind and accommodating crew. The itinerary was flexible and fun, the food was high class, the boat was clean and our every need was met. The crew worked together well and seemed to have a good level of camaraderie, which makes the vibe easy and relaxed. I have some dietary restrictions and they were easily met by Ada. Connor is knowledgeable about the area and Nicole sets the scene and makes the drinks (among other things). This was my first catamaran charter and I will be spoiled by this experience Marie K.

We Had An Amazing Time!
This was our first time on a catamaran cruise. We sailed on the ‘Sail Away’ and I must say, it totally exceeded all of my expectations. Our crew (Conner, Ada and Nicole) was amazing! The food was great….both in presentation and in taste. Nicole was always so eager to give us whatever we needed at all times! We chartered on the "Sail Away" with Captain Connor, Ada, and Nicole in Feb of 2026. Simply amazing. The crew was polite and courteous. They seemed to read our minds with what we wanted or needed next for drinks, snacks, activities, etc. The food was 5-star restaurant level stuff and I still can't figure out how Ada prepared the meals we ate onboard. They weren't just delicious, they were works of art. They took us to the best possible locations in the BVIs and we had the best vacating ever! They're The Best!
We had an amazing week with the crew of Sail Away. The crew was so personable we felt as though we were best friends by the end of our week. Connor kept us informed of where we were and where we were going through fun daily briefings. His knowledge of the BVI’s was incredible and he was always ready to share that knowledge with us. Exceptional!
We had a fabulous week aboard Sail Away with Connor, Ada, and Nicole. It was our 4th sailing trip in the BVI’s and although all were great -this one was the best so far! From start to finish, it was a true vacation in every sense of the word. The food was wonderful, the cocktails were fabulous, and the attention to detail was unmatched- whether we were enjoying the water toys, having cocktails, playing games, or having a meal. Highly, Highly Recommended!
We had the most incredible 6-day sailing trip through the BVIs! Captain Connor, Chef Ada, and Crew Member Nicole were absolutely exceptional. They were fun, attentive, and made sure every detail was perfect — from navigating the islands to accommodating food allergies with care. Ada’s meals were amazing, and the catamaran was kept spotless the entire time. Our itinerary was fantastic: Tortola, Peter Island, The Indians, Norman Island, Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Spit, Guana Island, Marina Cay, Anegada, and Virgin Gorda. We snorkeled beautiful reefs, visited iconic beach bars, explored stunning beaches, and enjoyed unforgettable sunsets every night. We just returned from the most AMAZING charter! Captain Connor and Chef Ada went above and beyond each and every day to make sure we had the best time!! They listened to what we wanted to do and what kind of food we liked and they delivered! We were excited each morning to see what the day would bring. It always started off with a delicious breakfast from Ada and our chart “lesson”, lol, from Connor! We enjoyed every place they took us to as well as Capt. Connor’s drink of the day! Broker Review
It was AMAZING. We ALL had a total blast. Heiko, Rebecca, and Maia were simply the best. Maia’s food was great, and she really was the perfect chef for us. Lots of seafood and veggies. All delicious! Plus, Maia is adorable and always cheerful. Heiko is a superlative captain - so steady and uber-responsible. He also was a great tour guide in general. His love for snorkeling and everything in the sea was contagious, and he took us to many out of the way snorkeling spots. I think my youngest grandson (10) wants to be just like Heiko when he grows up. 😂. Heiko really planned the perfect itinerary for our family. I feel like the activities, sailing, etc. were perfectly paced for all. Rebecca is an amazing woman. Just so terrific, kind, and interesting. She took such good care of us every single day. Both Heiko and she always made sure Ed (89) felt safe, particularly getting on and off the dinghy. We kayaked, snorkeled, paddle-boarded, tubed, and in general spent a ton of time in the water. The boat was very comfortable, including the beds. The weather was terrific. The food was delicious. The crew was A+. The trip exceeded my expectations, and they were very high to begin with. It was a great family celebration, and we will always remember it as a very special and fun adventure. Though Ed didn’t do the water activities, he also really loved the trip. Our week with the three of you on Sail Away was FANTASTIC! it surpassed all expectations. We have lived an island dream for 7 days. Thank you for allowing our family to drift away with y'all. So many magical memories have been made on Sail Away. I will miss being waited on hand and foot. We had the a great experience on a catamaran charter with Heiko and Rebecca! We had a slight "hiccup" at the start but from the moment we boarded, they made us feel right at home with their warmth and professionalism. The catamaran itself was comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a week of luxury on the water. Heiko’s expertise in sailing was evident, and we felt completely safe and comfortable under his guidance. Rebecca was an outstanding host, making sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and we had the chance to explore hidden coves, swim in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy delicious meals Maia prepared for us every day. Heiko and Rebecca We cannot thank you enough for our wonderful week in paradise. We were blown away by the food, the views and the fun activities throughout the week. You both have been so helpful and taught us so much about the Virgin islands. This place and this vacation will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything this week. Your knowledge of the areas we visited, and your dedication to conservation and education are unrivaled. We really appreciated the customer service especially after realizing that we truly were being pampered! The food was outstanding (every meal) and I couldn't be happier to spend the week with you! Also, thank you for the helpful hints; without that I would not have been able to have the snorkel experience I did!

Didn't Know What Vacation Meant!
Heiko and Rebecca Before this week, I didn't know what vacation meant. You spoiled us all thoroughly. The islands and oceans knowledge so freely given; the never ending incredible food; the peace and the parties. :) We are going home sun-kissed, relaxed and full of new information and joy. his has been a trip of a lifetime for me. Many firsts. Such amazing sites and having you both guiding us and helping along the way was incredible. Learning about the islands and sea-life was eye opening. I truly appreciate everything you both have done this entire week. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The crew exceeded ALL expectations. Adrien was super chill, Vanessa was super hospitable, and Leanne, OMG her cooking was amazing. She seemed to be working the ENTIRE time. Every meal was AMAZING. We loved our experience on Sail Away! Cabins were surprisingly spacious and lots of great areas to hang out (including the bow and the very upper deck). We learned there's a big difference between a 50 ft Cat and a 60 ft like Sail Away, we are spoiled now! The crew exceeded ALL expectations, we now believe this is the most important thing when selecting a charter. Adrien (captain), Vanessa (first mate) and Leanne (chef) were so awesome. But we must single out Leeanne, we are "foodies" and every meal blew us away, even the breakfasts. We hope to be back and hope for this same crew!

We recently spent 10 days aboard Sail Away with Colleen and Peter Lauber. The experience from beginning to end was seamless and transporting. First, our charter broker arranged the charter and facilitated travel plans and navigating the BVI Covid restrictions/requirements. That was a great help! The BVI are VERY Covid safe by the way. Once you do the required paperwork and testing it is fabulous to be here. So don’t let that stop you from coming!! We met Colleen and Peter at the Cay, a short ride from the airport, and off we went. We had 4 days of on-boat quarantine and, really, who could complain about beautiful bays, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking etc?! After a day 4 test and subsequent test result we hit land for our first on shore activities. Colleen and Peter, our hosts on Sail Away, were EXCELLENT in every way. They are both highly experienced sailors and know every corner of (and almost everyone in) the BVI. They took incredible care of us from charting our trip, arranging activities, and preparing delicious meals. Colleen clearly did a ton of preparation to be able to prepare gourmet dishes with ease for a group that also included gluten free vegans. And they were funny, fun, and overall great to get to know. Oh and Sail Away is gorgeous. No need for me to say more - JUST GET HERE. Carla - New York, USA

The crew kept us busy with multiple destinations and activities daily; we loved Oil Nut Bay, Scrub Island, Bitter End and the remote bays where everyone had a blast with multiple water activities! We chartered Vacoa in the BVI in January of 2017 and enjoyed every minute of it. The boat is a 620 Lagoon (our second trip on the same model) and I would not charter in the BVI on any other model of boat. The fact that the top deck can accommodate all 10 guests beats any other boat in its class. The boat is in great condition and the salon and state rooms are well appointed. Jason and Team did a wonderful job and the food blew away our expectations (which were high from our previous trip on another boat). I'd recommend getting off the boat for cocktails here and there but eating on board as none of the island restaurants can match the quality and presentation of the food. They had plenty of sports equipment on board -- everything from water skis to wakeboard, to kayaks, to paddle boards, etc.... Full service boat with fantastic crew -- perfect match. Charles G. Charter 17th to 24th of April 2016, Tortola-Tortola
This charter was by far the best I have been on to date...maybe it was the yacht? Maybe it was the crew? Both were amazing and better than expected. The yacht's condition was impeccable, the accommodations definitely met with our expectations, perhaps even better. We did not fully appreciate the upper deck of the yacht; I think we hung out there most of the time. We also did not realize we had a fourth crew member which was terrific! The crew was phenomenal. Xavier and Claire were so professional and accommodating to all of your wishes. Christine our chef was 5 star!! Every meal was delicious and special - what she was able to accomplish with such limited provisions was truly amazing. The final dinner our last night was a special treat - surprise Pirate Party!! Maxim was our 4th crew member and such a delight. He really took care of all of us...day or night!! The week went by so fast even though it was 7 days on a boat...we went to every location we wanted plus some. Xavier knew exactly when the best times would be for snorkeling, seeing turtles, exploring the Baths (when all of the people had left); he even knew how to keep us out of the stormy weather! We enjoyed hiking on the islands, tennis at two resorts, sailing at Bitter End and spa treatments on shore. They really did an amazing job keeping all of us happy.

I just want to thank you for your advice and organization of my charter onboard VACOA during our Easter break.We had a fantastic tour onboard a great boat, run by a very professional, knowledgable and service minded crew. Just a quick check in after a most delightful week on the water with great friends and a fantastic crew! The chef Christine was also over the top on professional skills and food quality/presentation, and always pleasant and open to teaching us about her dishes and how they were prepared. As a business owner myself, I know it is important to get prompt and direct feedback and consider this a 100+ score, simply blew us away! It goes without saying that the captain and crew had our comfort and hospitality in mind 24/7; and clearly a crack sailing team.

Feedback from the broker : I finally got ahold of M. XXX to get a report on their sailing vacation in St Martin with Xavier and Clare and Christine on VACOA and he has only superlatives for the boat, crew and experience.He was ecstatic about the food, the service, Xaviers energy and flexibility with doing water sports with the kids, playing DJ and helping guide the itinerary choices. They said they would charter that boat again with that crew.

Charter 5 -13 April 15 - Tortola
Our charter has been sensational! Xavier is very skilled and knowledgeable, first mate Claire has been wonderful, and chef Manuela extraordinary, fabulous cuisine. All of the crew work well together. Susan and I speak French with them, some Italian with Manuela, but they are all fluent in English. They have been particularly patient and helpful with the grandchildren. The boat itself is super, but the setup of the bathrooms could be better, which has nothing to do with the crew, of course. I am glad that we held out for VACOA .

I have just talked with the client, she is plenty satisfied with their cruise on board of MAITAS. The captain Marco and his crew has work very hard to offer to all the party an unforgettable cruise. They have appreciated their professionalism, the discretion , the long experience and the excellent cousin .
