First-Class Experience
We had an incredible experience aboard Tru North in the BVI. Captain Ryan was outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. He always made sure we knew how the day was planned and never minded repeating things to keep everyone on the same page, which we really appreciated. We always felt safe and well taken care of. Chef Sarah truly exceeded my expectations. Every meal was exceptional — easily some of the best food we’ve had in the Caribbean. She even went the extra mile to accommodate preferences, making sure my meals were exactly how I like them (no vegetables), which really showed her attention to detail and care for guests. Hein was fantastic as well, handling everything from deckhand duties to housekeeping and drinks. He kept everything running smoothly at all times — and made sure the drinks kept coming one after the other. His service, energy, and attention to detail really stood out. The yacht itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. Overall, this was a first-class experience and one we would absolutely recommend to anyone considering a charter in the BVI. Uri L.

More Than A Holiday - It's An Experience
ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The food – next level. Sara’s talent in her kitchen – gave us flavors, tastes, dishes to inspire us. Each meal somehow topped the next. And we will forever love “Carrie Bradshaw”! The drinks, no matter what our request was, Hein produced amazing drinks, from bringing aboard jalapenos from “ABC” to our Espresso Martinis at night. Hands down the best service we have ever had. Ryan – your “adventure” took us to no-where, beach walks, snorkel places. We loved every memory & laugh along the way. Especially your kite surfing show. You 3 made this trip more than a holiday- you made it an experience. We will all remember the last of our 2023. Thank you for the laughs (their contagious laugh), the care with every detail and all the magic you bring to our Tru North Holiday. We didn’t want to leave – so this isn’t a goodbye (maybe a few tears) but it’s - we will always stay in touch and look forward to our next Adventure.

We sailed on Tru North with Captain Ryan, Chef Sarah and Hein who was a master mixologist, divemaster and steward. Captain Ryan and Hein were great at setting up activities and wonderful anchoring spots. Fishing, wakeboarding, e-foiling, scuba diving, SUP boarding, and snorkeling were all right there. Chef Sarah was simply the best! The meals were stunning in both a culinary sense and in their presentation. Everything was made by her on the yacht… EVERYTHING (bagels, breads, pasta, sauces, etc.). We will definitely be back!

It was clear that the owner provides what the crew thinks the boat needs. I understand that the owner is also an avid diver and the crew made sure we had amazing dive experiences. I had been told that the BVI reefs were not great. I beg to differ. Many of the sites are not regularly dived and the coral shows it. There is some spectacular Caribbean diving in the BVI. Was the yacht clean and well maintained? 10 Please tell us more. Just a beautiful well maintained boat. Walmar clearly knows boats, mechanics and how to keep everything running properly. Kudos to the whole team. Salt water is hard on boats and staying on top of everything is critical. How would you rate the quality of service from your crew? 10 Please tell us more. Walmar, Hein, and Tameka were all exceptional. We count them now as friends, have exchanged phone numbers and invited them to Steamboat and truly hope they will come. We are not a generally high maintenance family and it took a minute to settle into a routine that allowed them to provide the service they wanted to. From game nights with our 12 year old to a 20th anniversary dinner under the stars to ensuring we got our fill of diving they could not have been more lovely. How would you rate the on-board cuisine? 10 Please tell us more. Tameka's meals were fantastic. We all gained far too much weight on the trip. Her creativity and enthusiasm was just excellent. How did you enjoy the destination/location? 10 Please tell us more. I gave this a 10, but that is as much due to the boat and the crew as it was the destination. We did not want and were not interested in large crowded places. Walmar found secluded coves and beaches, avoided, generally the crowds and allowed us to fully decompress. Could Not Have Found A Better Crew
We could not have found a better crew than the 3 of you. All three of you are truly the most kindest people we've met. You truly made our first experience of seeing the land by water amazing. We've been to the BVI many times but we're always experienced it from the land. I can't say enough about the food other than I need to diet after this trip! Every meal was presented so beautifully and tasted incredible. i would take Tamika home with me in a heart beat! The three of you are such a great team. Not only were you incredible with the guests, you're also mindful about the business. In coming from a business background, in a very positive way, I really appreciated how you balance with the guests. I very much mean that as a compliment. Best to luck with your careers and family. Friends at Sea and On Shore!
We up and set sail on a trip for 8, How many bags to bring we could not negotiate. Met at the dock by a very friendly crew, The next several days, oh how they flew. We swam and we skied, snorkeled and we dove, At days end we anchored in a cove. We ate and we ate, the food a grand delight, Tamika is the best, we didn’t leave a bite! Our fearless Captain, he’s always on the ball, What can we say? He can do it all! The memories we made will forever linger, Never forgetting Hein losing a finger! We up and set sail on a trip for 8, not knowing at journeys end that this would be fate. Friends at sea and on shore, We feel certain we have added 3 more!

Our Every Need Was Met
We had a fantastic trip aboard Tru North - not only is the boat stunningly beautiful, but also so clean and well cared for. there are so many spaces to sit and relax in the sun or in the shade - so much space! The crew on Tru North are incredible. Truley!! Our every need was met - from the morning coffee to the evening cocktail and beyond. Captain Walmar was an amazing "driver" :) and we felt we were in great hands. Hein was always there, making life easy for us and making it feel like he enjoyed making sure we had a great time. Exceeded Every Expectation
Where do we ever begin? Tru North exceeded every expectation that we had stepping onboard a week ago - the drinks never stopped, the sailing was perfect, the stops were gorgeous and the crew always went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Heins never ending cocktails were fabulous and Tamika's culinary creations were over the top! We were absolutely in awe at every meal and still cannot stop talking about the food we ate this week! Walmar is the best captain in the USVI and BVI and we are so thankful for all he did for us! We will be back and we look forward to more memories made on Tru North.

What can we say! Tru North exceeded all our expectations as a true 5 ***** boat. We were happily surprised by all the beautiful amenities. Walmar, Tamika and Hein made the trip truly memorable. From the amazingly delicious meals that were not only healthy and flavorful but also variety, to the wonderful and safe diving and snorkeling. We were in THE BEST hands and were so impressed with the extra care of our family. We can't praise them or say thank you enough for the trip of a lifetime.

Fantastico!
Fantastico - one of many words to describe our week with crew on Tru North, exploring the US and BVI's. Walmar found great snorkeling spots, lunch stops and overnights. Tamika's cooking and presentations so much better than Five Star. Hein earned his reputation as world's best mixologist. This was truly a world class, over the top, sailing adventurer, never to be forgotten with many, many memories.

Beyond Compare
What a spectacular trip with old friends and three new friends! Tru North is beautiful and took us to such wonderful spots to swim, snorkel and hike and the food was beyond compare, and the cocktails sublime. many thanks to our three new friends for taking such good care of us.

My 5th Charter - The Best!
Fabulous memories were made this week thanks to a wonderful crew! This is my 5th charter to the BVI and the best of all five. Captain Walmar took us to the best spots and went out of his way to be the most gracious host. He even snorkeled with us - helping us find interesting fish - something none of the previous captains have done. Perhaps, the real highlight of the trip was Tamika's cuisine. We were amazed at every meal, both with presentation and taste. We all looked forward to Hein's mixology creations too. That coconut drink is first class!! All three crew members work so well together with the intention of pleasing their guests. Thank you!

Our BEST Trip
This was our BEST sailing trip EVER! You all were so welcoming, each meal was fabulous, the snorkeling was the best (especially because of your sightings) and each mooring was beautiful. many, many thanks for such a special week. What A Journey

It was such a great week on board. An amazing crew and yacht!! It's really hard to describe in words the sweetness, the hospitality and the kindness of this incredible crew. Even more, combined with this, this paradisiac spot - can never be better than this!!! Thank you guys for providing this great experience for the entire family. We are going to miss you all.

Broker Review
I’ve received a glowing review from my clients onboard Tru North last month. Simone, Jaco and Hein went above and beyond to impress this group that has been chartering in the BVI for a few years now. I think they found their favorite crew yet! “First things first, Tru North is a GORGEOUS catamaran!! An amazing layout with stunning finishes that is maintained so attentively by the delightful crew as if the boat were their own. We were all so comfortable in our beautiful cabins. The only small hiccup (of no fault of the crew!) was an issue with the lights in the master cabin the last night of charter. Some of the accent lights were flashing as we went to bed and then turned completely on in the middle of the night. We were unable to get them to turn off. Jaco was extremely apologetic when I notified him, but again, just one of those things out of anyone’s control. Luckily, I sleep like the dead (especially after swimming with sea turtles all day!) and my husband had a little liquid assistance in the sleeping department in the form of Coors Light. 😂 This crew is awesome!!!! Jaco and Simone are a fantastic team, and the addition of Hein just takes it to a whole new level. They are so kind and friendly, so very attentive but in a quiet and unassuming way. They were always at the ready to oblige any request that hadn’t already been anticipated (which was often the case!) but in a way that felt very much like our group was just there on our own, enjoying our time together. Mastering the perfect balance between that extremely high level of service but not ever intruding or being overbearing is not really something that can be taught easily and they all three have the magic touch. Not even to mention the vast knowledge the Captain and crew must have to be able to do this job so masterfully, in terms of boat mechanics, navigation, etc. As a group of boat owners ourselves, it’s truly astounding! An example that comes to mind is when I was snorkeling and called up to Andy to hand me his GoPro and he told me the battery was dead. Not to worry...Jaco to the rescue! He had charged and replaced the battery, so I was good to go. Chef Simone is an absolute delight both in and out of the kitchen. Her meals were varied, flavorful and plentiful with an eye for presentation. She accounted for every person’s preference effortlessly. The table was always a sight to behold, especially at dinner when we enjoyed a different table setting each evening! We also enjoyed Hein’s stunning sunset cocktail offering, in addition to his attentive service all day making sure we all had a drink of our choosing in our hands. Our entire group was just blown away by the attention to our navigation preferences and well as safety. Jaco was so attentive and communicative every step of the way, which allowed us to cover so much ground (or water🤪). Due to weather conditions, it took us three stops at The Baths to finally be able to make safe entry. He was so nonchalant about the pivoting that was obviously required to get us there and even accompanied our group (along with Hein) to make sure our day remained a safe and uneventful adventure. The week was quite windy and Jaco always went above and beyond to find us the perfect serene cove to enjoy, even if it meant moving to an entirely new area. He and Hein always effortlessly had any and all water toys at the ready and in perfect working order. I think the men finally felt like they mastered the efoils! I know Jake very much enjoyed scuba diving in those beautiful waters while the rest of us snorkeled to our hearts’ content. Jaco and Simone also accompanied us during our afternoon on St John. Simone advising us on the best places to shop and Jaco helping the men on their plans to avoid shopping by barhopping. 😆 All in all it was an absolutely magical week!! A week we are hoping to repeat with this crew on this magnificent vessel much sooner than later. I will leave you with a message for our amazing crew…. baai dankie! Until next time. ❤️”

Was the yacht comfortable and clean? Yacht was impeccable and amazingly clean. Was the crew friendly and accommodating? The crew as by far the best crew we have had in our charter history. Jaco and Simone are professionals of the highest level. They are without a doubt one of the best crews Sailing the BVI. Was the food good and well presented? Food was amazing and presentation was always first class. Simone always took extra time to decorate the table and do plate presentation. Additional comments about the yacht and crew? Yacht is exceptionally maintained. Crew is exceptional in all aspects. By far one of the best yachts and crew sailing in the BVI's. Could not think of a single negative comment. Our trip was everything we had hoped for. We are experienced Charterers and this was simply the best we could have ever asked for. The crew! Just can not say enough nice things. They are over and above what is expected of a normal crew. Well done by all.

Incredibly Good Time
English Translation: This week I had an incredibly good time. What I liked the most was the fishing. Thank you for transmitting your wisdom of fishing, although I would have loved to be able to catch a tarpon with my sweet hands. Thanks to Jaco, a man of peace, adventure, and marine experiences, as well as someone who has a good heart. I will never forget this week. When we went to The Baths, Jaco (and I know this in my heart) helped us become adventurous men. We were fascinated with the delicious food from Simone. Dish after dish she changed our lives. Thank you for a truly amazing week! It's been perfect in every way...fun relaxing, and great food!!! You have thought of everything - all we had to do was relax and enjoy! As you know our trip almost didn't happen as our oldest daughter and her husband cancelled for a great reason. Now we all can't wait to come back to stay with you next year with all the family including the blessing of a new baby granddaughter too! The host and hostess with the MOSTEST! Jaco and Simone made our trip the BEST. Sun, amazing views, perfect breakfast, lunch, dinner and a perfectly nailed charcuterie board every day made our entire crew feel like "primary" oh, and there were a few drinks to really help relax the ladies and some of the boys. We've felt at home for the last week and don't want the time to end. While we have to go home, we'll still be living here in our minds and hearts.
